the problem is now i have this massive pile of jpegs (shot in raw+jpeg) and i have no real system for processing them. i tried just dumping a sequence into lightroom and syncing the settings across all the frames and that kind of worked but it took forever and some frames the exposure was a little different so theres this flickering in the final video that drives me insane. is there a better way people are doing this? ive heard of deflicker plugins but dont know which ones are worth paying for.

also genuinely not sure what framerate to export at for these to look smoothest. currently doing 24fps but wondering if thats right for this kind of thing or if i should be doing 30.

i think part of my problem is i just take off and start flying and hope something looks good. like i dont have a real plan. i got a mini 3 pro and the image quality is obviously fine but im just kind of wandering around in the sky and hoping for the best. do people actually scout locations before flying? do you storyboard? im not making films or anything, just want my travel videos to look less random.

also on the editing side im using resolve and i have no idea what LUTs to use or if i should even be shooting in d-log. right now im just shooting normal and slapping on some color grade and it looks flat. any advice from people who actually have a workflow would be really helpful

I feel like I was happier with the footage when I was just shooting in Normal color profile which is embarrasing to admit but at least it looked decent straight out of camera

been watching a lot of breakdown videos from guys like Tomas Senior and stuff and they always seem to have like this clear vision of what theyre going for before they even unpack the case. do you actually script this stuff out or is it more just experience where you start seeing shots automatically? genuinely curious how people approach this because right now i feel like im just winging it every time

does anyone have a workflow that actually works for drone footage specifically? like from card dump to final export. mine involves too many steps that i made up on the fly and it shows in the final product. also open to switching software if thats the answer, ive heard resolve is better for the color stuff but idk if i want to learn something new right now.

im shooting on a mini 3 pro, d-log m, and ive tried slowing down my movements a ton which helped a little but still not getting there. someone mentioned something about the 180 degree shutter rule to me once and i kind of get the concept but im not sure im applying it right ? like if im shooting 4k 30fps i should have my shutter at 1/60 right? been using ND filters too but honestly still feels off

what changed for me was just committing to one LUT as my starting point every single time. i was bouncing between like 6 different LUT packs and nothing ever looked consistent. now i pick one, apply it at like 60-70% opacity, then do the rest of my grade from there. also started using proxies which i shouldve done from day one because my laptop was choking on the 4k d-log files something fierce. anyway just wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same stuck place i was. whats everyone elses resolve workflow like, curious if theres a better way to handle the organization side because my bins are still a mess
