is it my vtx or the antennas

so ive been running the same setup for maybe 6 months now, rushmore tank vtx at 400mw and just the stock stubby antennas that came with it. flying 5inch freestyle mostly, nothing crazy. but every time i push past maybe 200 meters or so the video just turns to garbage ? like full static breakup, sometimes recovers sometimes doesnt. osd is still there which is weird to me

my goggles are the box style skyzone sky04x and i know those have diversity but im not sure if im actually getting any benefit from it because both antennas on the goggles are just the stock omnis that came in the box. been flying for a while now and always kind of assumed it was the trees or something but tested it in an open field last weekend and same deal around that distance

someone mentioned i should try a cloverleaf on the vtx side and a patch on the goggles but honestly i dont fully understand the tradeoff there. is this definitely an antenna problem or could the vtx itself be the issue? its been dropped a few times

VTX keeps cutting out mid flight and i cant figure out if its the antenna or the transmitter itself

been dealing with this for like three weeks now and its driving me insane. im running a rush tank solo 5.8ghz vtx on my 5inch freestyle build, set to 400mw, and every once in a while ill get this sudden video dropout that lasts maybe half a second to a full second then comes back. doesnt seem to happen at any particular distance, ive had it happen 20 feet away from me and also at like 200 meters so its not range related i dont think.

antennas are a lollipop on the quad and my goggles are fatshark HDO2 with the stock antennas which i know are not great. ive already reseated the antenna connector on the vtx twice because i read that can cause issues but still getting the dropouts. also the vtx does get pretty warm, not sure if thats normal or if thats part of the problem. anyone dealt with this before

switching from dji goggles 2 to analog ? is the latency thing actually as bad as people say

so ive been flying DJI O3 for about two years now and honestly the image quality is incredible but im starting to get more into racing and everyone at the track is on analog. i know i know, analog looks like garbage compared to digital but the latency argument keeps coming up and i genuinely cant tell if its placebo or if the lower latency actually makes a difference when youre trying to thread gates at speed.

also i borrowed a guys Fatshark Dominator V3 with a rapidfire module at the track last weekend and honestly it didnt look as bad as i expected? like the skyzone goggles some people have look genuinely pretty decent. so now im down a rabbit hole comparing fatshark recon vs skyzone cobra vs HDO2 and im confusing myself. my main question is really about whether going back to analog for racing specifically is worth it or if im just romanticizing something because the fast guys at my track use it

lhcp vs rhcp antennas ?
