ive tried switching between the frequencies already and it helped a little but not completely. running the latest firmware as of last month. controller antenna position ive been messing with too. starting to think maybe its interference from something but i cant figure out what. anyone seen this before or know what to actually check?

the colors are a thing too, my buddy says the orange makes it easier to spot during retrieval which honestly is a legit point ive come around to. anyway has anyone actually used both or switched from one to the other? i shoot mostly landscape stuff, some hiking trips, nothing crazy professional. just want something reliable that wont get me in trouble every time i fly near anything remotely urban.

ive updated the firmware, tried a different location thinking it was interference, doesnt seem to make a difference. the controller itself is fully charged when i go out. not sure if this is a known issue or if somethings actually wrong with my unit. been flying it for about a year with no problems and this just started a couple months ago

ive updated the firmware, recalibrated the compass, checked the antennas on the controller and they look fine to me. batteries are healthy, i check them before every flight. honestly i'm running out of ideas. could it be interference from something on the ground? theres a cell tower maybe half a mile away but that always been there and this just started happening recently. anyone dealt with something like this on the EVO II?

the Nano+ seems more portable which is nice because i do hike a lot but the Lite+ has that bigger sensor and i keep reading that sensor size matters way more than anything else for video quality. is the weight difference actually that noticeable when youre out on a trail? also i read somewhere that the Nano+ doesnt have obstacle avoidance on all sides, just forward and downward? not sure if thats still accurate or if they updated that.

anyone here flown both or at least one of them for a while ? would love some real world thoughts not just what the autel website says

checked the antennas on the controller and they look fine to me. firmware is updated. happens pretty consistently. any ideas what im missing here because im kind of at a loss

main things im wondering about are how the obstacle avoidance compares because the Mini 2 basically has none and i've had a few close calls in tighter spots. also the color science thing ? i keep seeing people say autel has better colors out of camera but idk if thats just brand loyalty talking or if theres something real there. not trying to start a war or anything just genuinely curious what people think who have used both

the thing that keeps pulling me toward the Autel is that it doesnt have geofencing the same way DJI does and im in a spot where id sometimes want to fly a bit closer to some restricted zones than DJI would normally let me without jumping through hoops. also the 50mp sensor on the Nano+ sounds really appealing on paper. but then everyone i talk to in real life just uses DJI and i wonder if the ecosystem and app support stuff is just gonna be way better and im gonna regret going Autel.

anyone actually daily drive a Nano+ and can tell me if its as good as it sounds or if theres stuff that annoyed you after a few months?

main things i care about are image quality obviously, reliability since im starting to do some paid work here and there, and how the autel software compares to dji fly because ive gotten pretty used to that interface. also not sure how the obstacle avoidance stacks up, i fly in some tighter spots sometimes. anyone whos actually used both have thoughts? not trying to start a brand war just genuinely curious

im flying with my phone attached to the smart controller and keeping it within maybe 300 feet. my phone is a samsung s22 if that matters. havent changed any settings since i first set it up. wondering if this is a known issue or if i messed something up somewhere along the way

im running the latest firmware, i checked that already. controller batteries are always topped up before i fly. it doesnt seem to matter if im 50 meters out or 200 meters, the dropouts happen at kind of random distances. i fly mostly in suburban areas if that matters, theres definitely some wifi interference around but i wouldnt think that would be this bad.

havent called autel support yet because honestly their hold times have been rough from what ive heard but i might have to. just wondering if anyone has seen this and fixed it without having to send the unit in

But i actually held the EVO Nano+ at a local shop and it just felt... better? Like the build quality seemed more solid and the camera specs on paper look real good. Also the whole no geo-fencing thing with Autel is appealing because ive had the DJI app lock me out of spots before that were totally legal to fly.

Anyone here actually gone with the Nano+ and stuck with it? Curious if the software side has caught up because last i heard the app was kind of rough. And how is the obstacle avoidance actually in real use, not just the marketing stuff.

the nano+ keeps coming up and the 1/1.28 sensor sounds great on paper but i dont know anyone locally who has one. everything i find online is either a youtube sponsored review or someone who clearly just got it and hasnt really put it through its paces. the obstacle avoidance on the mini 3 pro is probably more practical for where i fly (lots of trees, coastal areas) but the price difference is pretty significant.

anyone here actually own or have owned the nano+ and can give me a real world take? specifically curious about the image quality in low light and also how the autel sky app holds up compared to DJI fly because that part worries me a little

ive tried different frequencies in the controller settings and it doesnt seem to make a difference. usually flying in semi-rural areas so interference shouldnt be that bad. firmware is up to date as of last month. im starting to wonder if its a hardware thing or something with my tablet since im using a fairly old android tablet as my screen.

not a huge deal since it comes back quick but its annoying when youre trying to get a shot and it blips at the worst moment. any ideas would be appreciated, havent found anything definitive searching around.

thing is i had a bad experience with DJI customer service a while back (lost a phantom in the ocean, partially my fault, partially a compass issue) and ive been kind of reluctant to go back. Autel just feels more... i dont know, underdog-ish? and i liked what i read about them not having the same geo-fencing restrictions.
