group flights always end up being a mess for me idk

so went to a group fly thing last saturday with like 8 or 9 people and it was kind of chaos tbh. everyone flying at the same time, my fpv goggles were getting all kinds of interference, and then someones mavic nearly clipped my quad on approach. not trying to trash the event because the people were great but man. does anyone have tips for making these things less stressful or is it just always gonna be like that when theres a big group

yeah the video interference thing is a known pain when theres multiple analog systems running. if your on analog 5.8 you basically need to coordinate channels ahead of time or someone's gonna wash out someone else. digital is better for this but not everyone has it. the near miss thing is just... part of flying with a crowd unfortunately, you kind of develop a sense for it after a while but it never fully goes away

honestly the best group flights ive had were smaller, like 3 or 4 people max. once you get past that it gets hectic real fast. big events are fun for the vibe but i rarely actually get good flying in
