so ive been planning this trip for a while and just realized i never actually looked into the drone rules down there. bringing my mini 3 pro. from what i read online the rules seem kinda all over the place and some sites say you need to register and some say you dont so now im just confused

anyone actually flown there recently? also wondering about the national parks because thats like half the reason im going, all those mountains and cloud forests would look insane from above

national parks are almost definitely a no-go, same as most countries tbh. i got turned away at manuel antonio last year, ranger saw the drone bag and that was pretty much it. the beaches outside the parks are fine though, i got some really good stuff around santa teresa

for registration i just didnt bother and nothing happened but i wouldnt recommend that, just do it through DGAC which is their aviation authority. took me like 20 minutes online
