so anyway i finally caved and went to one of those group fly things my buddy kept bugging me about. wasnt expecting much honestly, figured it would just be a bunch of people showing off expensive gear and ignoring the new guys. but it was actually really cool, everyone was super helpful and one dude let me put my goggles on and watch his fpv feed while he ripped around which was insane. i fly mostly DJI stuff so seeing someone fly a 5 inch freestyle was kind of a wake up call lol. definitely going back next month, they do it on the last sunday of every month at this big open field near the edge of town. if you're on the fence about going to one of these i'd say just do it

that first group fly experience is always a good one. the fpv guys are usually more than happy to show people what its like, they love recruiting lol. wait until you actually try flying one yourself, completely different from flying a mavic or whatever

this is wholesome. im nervous about going to mine because im still pretty new and dont want to crash in front of everyone but maybe ill just go and not fly the first time, just watch
