ok so ive been flying solo for like two years now and finally decided to show up to one of those saturday morning meetups at the field near the reservoir. honestly wasnt sure what to expect but it was a good time. way more chill than i thought, nobody was showing off or being weird about gear. there was this older guy with a massive fixed wing that thing was huge and he just did slow passes the whole time which was actually kind of relaxing to watch. one dude brought like six quads in a pelican case which felt like overkill but hey. the only annoying part was someone kept flying way too close to where people were standing, nobody said anything but you could tell people were uncomfortable. think ill go back though

the proximity thing is always the awkward part at these, nobody wants to be the person who says something but eventually someone has to. glad you had a good time overall tho, the first one is always a bit weird because you dont know the vibe yet

six quads in a pelican case is not overkill that sounds amazing actually. what kind were they did you see
