so this has been bugging me for a while and im not sure if its a settings thing or an actual hardware issue. flying in a pretty open area, not a lot of obstructions, and ive been getting signal warnings and occasional video feed drops at like 800-900 meters. this thing is supposed to go way further than that. running the RC pro so its not a phone interference thing.

ive updated firmware, recalibrated the compass, all the usual stuff. occusync is set to auto. it doesnt do it every time which is almost more annoying because i cant pin down what triggers it. sometimes its fine at 1.5km no problem and other times its dropping at under a km. anyone else dealt with this kind of inconsistency or have any idea what to check next

check your transmission mode settings ? if its on auto it'll sometimes drop to a lower bandwidth mode which can feel like signal loss even if youre technically still connected. also worth trying to manually set it to O3+ instead of letting it choose. i had something similar on my mavic 3 classic and switching to manual transmission mode helped a lot. might not be your issue but easy thing to rule out first.

also where are you flying? ive noticed near certain areas with a lot of wifi or 4g traffic it gets flaky even in open spaces. had a really weird day at a park near a stadium once.

the auto channel selection can be kind of unpredictable in my experience. try locking it to a specfic channel manually and see if that helps with the inconsistency. also make sure youre holding the RC in a good orientation ? sounds obvious but the antenna position on the RC pro matters more than people think, i was getting weird drops until someone pointed out i was basically blocking one of the antennas with my hand.
