so i was reading through some drone news this morning and apparently the FAA is looking at tweaking some of the remote ID implementation stuff, something about enforcement timelines and maybe how the broadcast modules work with older aircraft. i honestly couldnt find a super clear source on it, the article i read was kind of vague and kept referencing a comment period that already closed.
anyone else following this? im mainly asking because i have an older Phantom 4 Pro and ive been putting off the whole remote ID thing because the module options for it are kind of janky and expensive relative to what the drone is worth at this point. if theyre actually reconsidering anything i might just wait it out a bit more before spending money on a module.
also heard a rumor that DJI is supposedly working on a firmware approach for some older models but i have no idea if thats real or just wishful thinking on reddit
