my mavic 3 keeps disconnecting mid flight and i have no idea why

this has been happening for a few weeks now and its starting to freak me out a little. mid flight the video feed just cuts out for a few seconds, sometimes longer, and the RC shows a signal warning. it doesnt crash or anything, the drone just holds its position and then reconnects but its really unsettling especially when im flying over water or farther out.

im using the RC Pro controller, never had issues before this started. havent changed anything as far as i know. firmware is updated. i initially thought maybe interference but it happened yesterday in a field in the middle of nowhere with basically nothing around. distance was maybe 400 meters so not exactly pushing limits.

anyone dealt with this before, im kind of at a loss here

check if there are any apps running in the background on the RC Pro that might be eating bandwidth or something. also there was a firmware version a while back that caused some weird signal behavior and a lot of people rolled back to fix it ? might be worth looking through the DJI forums for your specific version number.

other thing i'd try is a full cache clear and re-linking the drone from scratch. sounds tedious but sometimes the pairing just gets wonky for no obvious reason and re-doing it fixes stuff that nothing else would. had something similar with my Mavic 3 Classic after an update and that ended up being the fix.

might be a dumb question but is the antenna on the controller fully extended and positioned correctly? i know that sounds basic but ive seen people get signal drops from just having the RC at a bad angle relative to the drone. the RC Pro antennas should be facing toward the aircraft basically flat-ish not pointing straight up. just throwing it out there incase
