went to my first real drone meetup last month and idk it was a weird experience. everyone was super nice but theres just this thing where you feel like people are judging your flying the whole time and i kept overthinking every move. ended up just hovering around like a noob even though i can rip pretty decent lines when im by myself. anyone else get that or is it just me being weird about it. did loosen up a bit by the end when a few guys were doing low passes over the field and i joined in, that part was actually fun

100% felt the same way at my first one. took me like three meetups before i stopped caring what anyone thought. now i actually fly better with people around cause it pushes me to try stuff i wouldnt normally do solo

honestly the social anxiety thing is real but most people at these events are way more focused on their own stuff than watching you. the ones who are watching usually just want to see cool flying, theyre not there to criticize. also protip dont fly right after someone who just did something insane, give yourself a minute lol
