so ive had my Mavic 3 Classic for about three weeks now and honestly love it but the whole ND filter thing is kind of overwhelming me. i came from shooting on a DSLR so i get the concept but everyones recommending different sets and i cant figure out if i should just go with DJI's own filters or grab a third party set. the DJI ones are obviously expensive and i saw a Freewell set on amazon for like half the price but then someone on reddit said the coatings arent as good and it causes vignetting at certain focal lengths which, i dont even know if thats a real issue or if they were just being a DJI fanboy.

also slightly different question but does anyone actually use the polarizer that comes in some of the kits or is that mostly for like landscape/water shots. im mostly doing real estate and the occasional travel video. just trying not to buy a bunch of stuff i wont use you know

Freewell are honestly fine for what you're describing. ive been using them on my Mavic 3 Pro for about 8 months and havent had any issues with vignetting, i think that might be more of a thing on older mavic models or maybe someone was using the wrong filter size. the DJI filters are good but youre paying for the logo at a certain point.

for real estate i mostly stick to ND8 and ND16 depending on conditions, and yeah the CPL is actually really useful for shooting houses with windows or any kind of reflective surface - cuts glare significantly. wouldnt skip it personally if you're doing real estate work.

just chiming in because im also new and went through this exact same thing last month lol. ended up getting the Freewell versatile magic set and its been great so far, no complaints. the CPL i honestly havent touched yet but everyone keeps telling me ill use it eventually once i start shooting near water or glass buildings so i'm keeping it around
