does the dji o3 vs o4 transmission thing actually matter for normal flying

so i was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a used mavic 3 classic at a decent price and then the person selling it mentioned the transmission is o3 and not o4 like on the newer stuff. i dont really understand the difference beyond newer = better marketing speak. like in actual real world flying around fields and parks and the occasional coastal area, is this something that would actually affect my experience or is it more of a spec number that matters in edge cases.
the price difference between getting the used classic vs something newer with o4 is probably 300-400 quid and im not sure if thats worth it for whatever o4 brings. been flying a phantom 4 pro v2 for years so anything is going to feel like an upgrade honestly but i dont want to buy something and then feel like i skimped on the wrong thing.
