Drone Won't Take Off After Latest Firmware Update - Anyone Else?

  • Members

Updated my Mini 3 Pro firmware yesterday through DJI Fly and now it won't take off at all. Motors spin up fine, GPS locked, no restricted zone warnings, but it just sits there when I give it throttle.

Tried the usual stuff - compass calibration, IMU calibration, different SD card, even factory reset the controller. Still nothing.

Anyone else having issues after the recent update? Starting to think this might be a widespread bug.

Check if you accidentally enabled Beginner Mode during the update process. Had the exact same issue last month - drone was in beginner mode and GPS signal wasn't quite strong enough for takeoff even though it showed locked.

If beginner mode isn't it, try powering everything off for 10 minutes, then power on the drone first, then controller. DJI support chat is actually pretty helpful too if you're still stuck - they can run remote diagnostics.
