so ive been flying for about two years now mostly just by myself at the local field and honestly its getting kind of lonely lol. a buddy of mine mentioned theres usually some group fly events that happen around june/july but i cant find anything concrete online. mostly just old facebook groups that havent posted since 2021.

does anyone know if theres still active clubs doing meetups in like ohio or indiana area? or honestly anywhere within a few hours drive. i have a mini 3 pro and been wanting to see what other people are flying, just never really connected with the local community yet.

yeah the midwest scene is honestly pretty scattered. theres the muncie indiana fly-in that happens every year, AMA does it i think, pretty big deal actually. lots of fixed wing guys but plenty of quad and fpv people show up too. worth looking up if you havent already.

facebook is still where most of the club stuff lives unfortunately. search for your county name plus RC club and youll probably find something, half of them dont even have websites anymore they just do everything through the group page.
