the plastic sheeting is almost definitely your problem. reflective or low-texture surfaces absolutely wreck photogrammetry reconstruction because the feature matching algorithim just cant find consist

yeah i had somthing similar over a greenhouse once, the poly tunnel roof just turned into this horrible smeared mess in the middle of an otherwise clean map. took me forever to realize it was the mate
been dealing with this for like three flights now on the same agricultural field. everything else in the mosaic stitches up fine, nice and sharp, but theres this one patch in the northwest corner that just looks soft and smeared no matter what i do. its not a shadow issue, the lighting was pretty even. im flying at 120m, 75/75 overlap, nadir only.
the weird thing is when i look at the individual images that cover that area they look totally normal, not blurry at all. so its something happening in the stitching i think. ive tried reprocessing twice with higher quality settings and it doesnt change much. running it through dronedeploy cloud processing.
the field itself has some irrigation infrastructure in that corner, like metal pipes and some plastic sheeting, not sure if thats related. anybody seen something like this before
