the app crashing thing drove me absolutely nuts when i first got mine, ended up just keeping auto-update off and staying on whatever firmware was stable when i bought it. theres a version from late la

i just got the regular EVO II (not the Pro version) and im kind of in the same boat coming from a Phantom 4. the controller size was weird to me at first too but youre right, its actually more comfort
so ive been flying a Mavic 2 Pro for about two years and kind of hit a ceiling with it, kept seeing the EVO II Pro come up in conversations and figured id give it a shot when i found a refurb unit for a decent price. been flying it pretty regularly for about three weeks now and honestly my feelings are pretty mixed but leaning positive overall.
the 6K sensor is genuinely impressive, colors out of the camera feel a bit warmer than what i was getting from the Mavic and the dynamic range in the Autel Sky app's HDR mode is doing some heavy lifting on those bright noon shots i usually struggle with. the obstacle avoidance is... okay, its not as snappy as the Mavic but it hasnt gotten me into trouble yet. the controller itself is huge compared to what im used to but my hands dont cramp up anymore so thats something.
main gripe so far is the app stability. crashed on me twice during a flight planning session which is not great. also the battery life is listed as 40 minutes but im consistently getting 32-34 in mild weather so manage your expectations there. anyone else running this thing regularly, curious if theres any firmware or settings tweaks worth knowing about
