ESC almost always goes on the bottom of the stack, FC sits on top of it. the grommets go between the ESC and the frame standoffs - so the whole stack floats a little. some people also put them between

yeah what he said, and also just double check the motor order in Betaflight once you get it all together before you ever spin them up. Roma F5 is a great first frame btw, mines been through a lot and
ok so ive been flying whoops for about a year and finally decided to do a proper 5inch build. got a Diatone Roma F5 frame sitting on my desk and a stack i picked up during a sale - its the SpeedyBee F405 V3 with the 50A 4in1 ESC. problem is ive been watching like 6 different build videos and they all seem to stack things in a different order and some people run the ESC on the bottom some on top and now im second guessing everything.
the frame has those rubber grommets for vibration isolation and im not sure if those go under the FC or the ESC or both. also do i need to worry about which direction the ESC faces relative to the FC because of the ribbon cable length? it seems short and i dont want to solder it wrong and have it under tension the whole time.
been looking at this for like two days now and its probably simpler than i think but any help would be great
