so ive had my EVO Nano+ for about 4 months now and overall i really like it, its been a solid little drone for the price. but lately whenever theres any real wind ? like over 15mph or so ? i start getting these signal dropouts. not full disconnects, more like the video feed gets choppy and then the controller starts beeping at me. happened twice last weekend and it was honestly kind of nerve wracking.

im flying with my phone attached to the smart controller and keeping it within maybe 300 feet. my phone is a samsung s22 if that matters. havent changed any settings since i first set it up. wondering if this is a known issue or if i messed something up somewhere along the way

yeah the Nano series in general isnt really built for gusty conditions, the antenna setup on that controller is fine but when wind starts moving the drone around a lot you get more interference just from orientation changes. try to keep the drone closer on windy days and make sure your phone isnt covering the antennas on the side of the controller, thats actually a really common one that people overlook. i also found that toggling the wifi off on your phone before flying helps a lot because it stops the phone from hunting for networks and eating into the connection stability.

I had something similar happen with mine and it turned out the issue was my phone's screen auto-dimming during flight which somehow messed with the app response. Probably not your exact problem but worth checking. Also I read somewhere that the Autel Sky app has some refresh rate settings buried in there that can help with video choppiness specifically.
