Newbie struggling with EVO 2 Pro controller balance - any tips?

Just got my EVO 2 Pro and I'm having issues with the controller balance. When I attach my phone, the whole thing tips backward onto the antennas instead of sitting flat on a table. The controller is on the small side and when my phone is connected, it tips back onto the antennas and basically rests on the phone holder and antennas instead of sitting flat. Has anyone found a good workaround for this? I'm worried about accidentally pressing the back buttons when it's resting like this.

Also considering getting a tablet holder but they're hard to find and the ones I've seen cost around $90 which seems high for just a tablet holder. Any recommendations for accessories would be great!
