switching from fatshark to walksnail - anyone else notice the latency difference

i had the same weirdness when i switched, thought my quad was handling different lol. its definitely psychosomatic mostly, give it like a month of regular flying. the 22ms number is under ideal condit
so ive been running fatshark dominators with an analog setup for like 4 years now and finally caved and got the walksnail avatar HD goggles. spent the whole weekend flying with them and honestly my feelings are pretty mixed. the image quality is obviously way better, like there's no comparison there, but something feels slightly off when im doing tight gaps or proximity flying and i cant tell if its actual latency or just me adjusting to a totally different visual experience.
been reading that the avatar system runs around 22ms end to end which on paper sounds fine but it just feels different than what i was used to. anyone gone through this transition and did you eventually stop noticing it? also running the standard antennas that came in the kit, not sure if thats a factor or if the latency thing is just a firmware issue people have already figured out workarounds for
