2306 vs 2207 honestly isn't as big a deal as the forums make it seem, especially for freestyle. the stator height gives you more torque but the diameter affects top end a bit. for a floaty freestyle f

ok so ive been flying whoops for about a year and a half now and i finally decided to just bite the bullet and build a proper 5inch freestyle quad. picked up a TBS Source One v5 frame because everyone seems to love it and the price was right, but now im sitting here staring at motor listings on rotorvillage and i genuinely dont know what to pick.
i keep seeing people talk about 2306 vs 2207 vs 2306.5 motors and honestly the difference isnt clicking for me. like i get that the numbers are stator dimensions but i dont really understand how that translates to actual flight feel. im not trying to race, just want something that floats nicely and can do some powerloops without feeling like a dog.
my stack is gonna be a Kakute H7 with a 45amp 4in1. running 4s for now, maybe 6s later. budget for motors is like 60-70 dollars for the set. is that even realistic or am i kidding myself
