honest opinion on fpv drones from someone whos tried everything

been flying for about 4 years now and started with a mavic mini then went through pretty much every dji drone you can think of. finally decided to try fpv this year and got the dji fpv drone. also built a custom 5 inch quad

gotta say the learning curve is no joke compared to regular camera drones but man when you get the hang of it its addictive. the dji one is good for beginners but honestly feels limited once you get used to it. custom build is way more fun but also way more things that can go wrong lol

anyone else make the switch from camera drones to fpv? was it worth it for you or did you go back to regular flying

yeah i went down the same path last year. loved my air 2 but got bored with the slow cinematic stuff. fpv is definitely more engaging but i found myself going back to the air 2 when i actually needed to get good footage for work

now i just keep both around depending on what im trying to do that day

thinking about making this jump myself but kinda worried about crashing all the time. how long did it take you to feel comfortable flying fpv without constantly worrying about hitting something? my mavic has all those sensors and stuff so im spoiled i guess
