so anyway went to my first meetup last sunday and i dunno, felt a bit out of place. everyone seemed to already know each other and were doing these coordinated runs together and i was just kind of hovering around not really sure where to fly without being in someones way. my stick skills are decent i think but flying around other people is a totally different vibe than just going out solo. does it get easier or is this just how it is at first

totally normal, took me like three or four meetups before i felt comfortable. just hang near the edges and watch for a bit, most experienced pilots are pretty good at calling out when theyre taking off or landing. someone will eventually chat you up and it gets easier from there

honestly some of those groups have been flying together for years so yeah your gonna feel like an outsider at first. i just started asking questions about peoples builds and that got conversations going pretty quick. pilots love talking about their quads lol
