anyone else feel like their photos never look as good as what they see in their goggles lol

this has been bugging me for a while. every time im up there flying i see this perfect shot in my fpv feed and then i land and pull up the actual photo and its just... not that. like the feed looks punchy and sharp and the raw file looks flat and kind of blah. i know thats kind of the point of shooting d-log or whatever but still it always disappoints me a little.

im on an air 2s btw. tried messing with picture profiles but i feel like i dont really know what im doing. does anyone just shoot in normal mode to get something that looks good straight out of camera or is that a dumb idea

not a dumb idea at all, lots of people shoot normal or vivid if they dont want to edit. d-log is really only worth it if youre actually going to spend time in post grading it. if you just want stuff that looks decent without touching it then yeah just set it to normal and maybe tweak the sharpness and saturation a tiny bit in the camera settings. the flat look is honestly confusing for beginners because you have to kind of visualize what it'll look like after grading and thats a skill on its own

yeah this exact thing made me stop shooting log for like three months lol. the feed always lies to you a bit too because of the way the goggles process the signal. what helped me was actually just loading up some free luts and seeing how the dlog file transformed, once i saw that click i got way more excited about shooting flat. but honestly do whatever makes you actually enjoy the footage
