Hey everyone, been flying recreationally for about 2 years now and im starting to wonder if theres any real money to be made doing this professionally. I have my part 107 and decent equipment (mavic air 2s, mini 3) but honestly dont know where to start looking for actual paying gigs

anyone here making decent income from drone work? what kind of jobs are actually out there that arent just real estate photos for 50 bucks

real estate is actually pretty steady once you build up relationships with agents, dont knock it. but yeah construction inspection work pays way better - im pulling 150-300 per site depending on size. also do some agricultural mapping stuff which can be really good money if you get the right clients

hardest part is marketing yourself honestly, the flying is the easy part

ive been trying to break into commercial work for like 6 months now and its tough. everyone wants experience but how do you get experience without jobs... classic catch 22. thinking about doing some free work for local businesses just to build a portfolio but not sure if thats the right approach
