so i had a pretty hard landing yesterday (okay fine it was a crash into a tree branch) and now my air 2s gimbal is doing this stuttering thing when i pan left. it doesnt happen going right, just left. the camera footage looks fine but i can hear this slight grinding noise when it moves. anyone else had something like this happen? is it worth trying to recalibrate or should i just send it in

oof that sucks. i've had gimbal issues after crashes before and usually a full IMU calibration fixes the stuttering. try that first before you send it in because DJI will probably charge you like $200 minimum. also check if the gimbal guard got bent or something is physically blocking it

Yeah definitely try the calibration first but that grinding noise sounds like something got knocked loose inside. I crashed my air 2 pretty hard last year and had similar symptoms - turned out one of the tiny screws in the gimbal housing had come loose. If you're handy with small electronics you might be able to fix it yourself but honestly the gimbal is pretty delicate so might be safer to send it in. At least you can still fly it in the meantime
