third time this season man. we had like 15 people confirmed showing up, someone even trailered out a big fixed wing setup, and then 20 minutes before start time the sky just opened up. we ended up sitting in someones van for two hours talking about lipos and watching youtube videos on a phone. honestly not the worst afternoon but still. anyone else's local club have this problem or is it just us

haha this is literally every meetup we try to do from april through june. at this point we just schedule stuff and assume itll get moved. indoor venue is the move if you can find one, we did a session at an old warehouse once and it was actually great for whoops flying

the van hangout actually sounds kind of fun ngl. our group never even gets that far, half the people bail as soon as theres a 30% chance of rain in the forecast. weather apps have ruined more fly-ins than actual weather at this point
