okay so just got back and yeah the footage is incredible but man there were a few moments where i genuinely thought i was going to lose the drone. wind over there is no joke, like i knew it was going to be windy but nothing really prepares you for standing on a lava field at 7am with the thing fighting just to hold its position. had sport mode on for a bit which helped but then you lose the obstacle avoidance so thats a whole other thing to think about
biggest lesson honestly was the cold killing the batteries way faster than expected. i had hand warmers stuffed in my jacket pocket with the spare batteries which helped a lot but still had to land earlier than i wanted to on a couple flights. also airspace around reykjavik is pretty locked down so dont bother trying near the city, the app flagged basically everything within a huge radius
