Mini Pro 3 questions - 12mp vs 48mp & panorama stitching?

Just got my Mini Pro 3 yesterday and loving it so far! Coming from regular photography where I always stitch panoramas manually because in-camera ones look terrible.

Two quick questions: Is the drone's auto panorama mode actually decent or should I be taking separate shots and stitching them myself? And for general shots, should I stick with 12mp or is 48mp worth it in good light?

Any tips from experienced pilots would be awesome!

I use both depending on the situation. Auto pano is great for quick shots, but manual stitching gives you way more control. 48mp eats up storage fast though, so I only use it for special shots.
