just curious if this community overlaps much with RC cars or planes or whatever. i got into drones through RC cars years ago and still mess around with a traxxas rustler when im bored. feels like a lot of the same people but idk maybe not. also thinking about getting into RC boats this summer which is probably a terrible idea given how much stuff i already have

yeah i came from RC planes actually, fixed wing stuff. balsa builds mostly. drones kind of took over but i still have a old trainer in the garage somewhere. the skills do transfer a bit but its also weirdly different in ways you dont expect

RC boats are actually super fun for the money tbh. got a cheap one off amazon just to mess around on a local pond and it held up way longer than i thought it would. dont overthink it just get one
