flew at the salt flats last week and wow

so i finally made the drive out to bonneville and brought the mini 4 pro and honestly wasnt sure what to expect flying out there. no trees, no obstacles, just like... infinite flat whiteness in every direction. the footage is insane but i kept getting paranoid about losing orientation because theres literally nothing to reference. just white ground and blue sky and my drone somewhere in the middle of it.

also worth mentioning -- checked the regs before going and that whole area is actually fine to fly, no notam issues when i went, but i did see some signs near the speedway section that made me nervous so i just stayed further west. anyone else flown out there? curious if others have run into any actual rangers or anything giving them grief

yeah bonneville is on my list, that footage always looks unreal. did you have any issues with the white balance going all weird? i feel like that kind of environment would confuse the camera something fierce. also curious how the obstacle avoidance behaved with nothing to actually avoid lol

never had anyone bother me out there but i went like 3 years ago so no idea if anything changed. the orientation thing is real, i actually switched to manual mode just so i could feel more in control. fpv muscle memory kicks in way faster than waiting for the app to tell you where it is
