okay so context ? been flying maybe 4 months, mostly just cruising around and doing basic rolls. decided today was the day i finally commit to a proper split S instead of chickening out halfway through like usual. went for it and honestly the entry was fine but i completely misjudged how much altitude i was gonna lose and came out of it pointed directly at a very large oak tree. got out of it but only just. the quad is fine thankfully. i think my problem is im still doing them way too low, like i know thats the issue but in the moment it just looks like you have plenty of room. anyway just wanted to share because it was equal parts terrifying and the best feeling ive had flying so far
