so ive been flying for about 8 months now and i finally feel like i got a shot im actually proud of. took the mini 3 out to the reservoir near my place around 6:45pm and just kind of let it sit at about 80 meters while the sun was doing its thing. the colors came out insane, way better than i expected honestly.

dropped the link in the comments, would love to hear what people think. im still figuring out the color grading stuff in davinci resolve so if it looks a little flat thats probably why. any tips on how you guys handle sunset footage would be appreciated too

colors look really nice man, that golden reflection on the water is the kind of thing you just cant fake in post. one thing id say is the horizon is ever so slightly tilted, like maybe half a degree? easy fix in resolve, just use the transform tab. other than that though this is genuinely solid work for 8 months in, way ahead of where i was at that point lol
