so ive been flying for about 8 months now and i feel like this was the first time i actually got something worth showing people. went out to the coast early morning, maybe 6am, light was insane. mostly flew my mini 3 pro about 150 feet up along the shoreline and did a slow pull back over the waves. nothing fancy but it just looked... good? idk hard to explain.

anyway posted it on my instagram and got more response than anything ive ever put up there. someone even asked if i was a professional which made me laugh. my color grading is still pretty rough, i just use the built in stuff in lightroom and do a quick log conversion, nothing crazy. curious if anyone else has tips for making coastal footage pop more, or if the early morning light is just doing all the heavy lifting here lol

early morning light is absolutely doing heavy lifting dont let anyone tell you otherwise, golden hour stuff almost always looks great regardless of skill level. that said a slow pull back over waves is a classic move for a reason, its satisfying to watch. id be curious what your ND filter situation is, sometimes coastal footage gets that weird stuttery look if youre not properly dialed in on shutter speed. i had the same problem for months before someone told me to just stick to the 180 degree rule no matter what.

would love to see it, do you have a link? im working on beach shots myself and honestly struggling with the horizon staying level when theres wind coming off the water. probably a me problem but still annoying
