so i saw a post somewhere about a group fly-in happening saturday morning at Piedmont, think it was organized through the local facebook group but i cant find the post anymore. anyone here going? i've never done one of these group things before and not sure what to expect honestly. do people just show up and fly or is there like a structured thing going on

yeah i went to one of those last spring, it's pretty chill. people just kind of show up, set up their stuff, and fly. some guys bring fpv rigs, some bring their mini 3s or whatever. nobody really organizes it that hard, you just end up chatting with whoever's nearby. bring a chair if you have one, we were standing around for like 3 hours lol

i think the facebook group you're talking about is Atlanta Drone Pilots or something like that? i'm not in the area but those local groups usually post the details day before. might be worth just showing up anyway even if you cant find the original post
