ok so i finally went to one of those local meetup things after seeing it mentioned here a few times. i dunno what i expected but it was a bit weird at first, everyone already knew each other and i was just kind of standing there with my mavic not really knowing if i should just start flying or wait for someone to talk to me. eventually this older guy came over and started asking about my setup which was cool. the actual flying part was fun though, seeing everyones different birds in the air at the same time is genuinely pretty cool. probably go again

haha yeah the first one is always like that. it's basically just a bunch of introverts who happen to like drones, once you get past the initial weirdness everyone's pretty friendly. give it a couple more visits and you'll know half the regulars

that awkward thing is real, i remeber my first one i just pretended to be very busy checking my props for like 20 minutes. but honestly the community is worth sticking around for, ive learned more from random guys at meetups than from any youtube video
