tips for packing the mavic on a long haul flight - always nervous about batteries

  • Members

ive done this a few times now and still get anxious every time i go through security with a bunch of lipos. the rules say carry on only for lithium batteries which i always do but the amount of times ive had to pull everything out and explain to TSA what an intelligent flight battery is... its exhausting honestly.

this last trip i printed out the FAA lithium battery sheet and had it ready and the agent still had no idea what she was looking at lol. they ended up just waving me through after like 3 minutes of confusion. anyone have a smoother system for this? im thinking about getting one of those dedicated battery cases that looks more official maybe

lipo safe bags help a lot visually i think, agents seem to recognize them now more than they used to. also i always put the batteries loose in a separate tray before they even ask, just makes the whole thing faster and shows you know what youre doing. havent had a real problem in probably 15 flights with my air 2s setup
