so this has been bugging me for a while. i go out, fly around, the preview on the RC looks incredible and im hyped the whole drive home thinking ive got something really good. then i pull it up on the computer and its like... fine. just fine. nothing special. its not a technical problem i dont think, exposure is okay, no weird artifacts or anything. i just feel like my shots are kinda boring when i watch them back. idk maybe im framing things too safe

posted a clip from last weekend in the comments if you wanna see what i mean. its a coastal thing, cliffs and some boats. the location was genuinely beautiful and somehow i made it look like a google maps screenshot lol

yeah this is super common and took me a long time to figure out, the main thing is you probaly need more movement variation. if every shot is just a slow push forward or a slow pan it all kind of blur

watched the clip. the location really is nice but i think the issue is the shots are all kind of the same length and same speed. also maybe try shooting d-log or whatever flat profile your drone has i

yeah this is super common and took me a long time to figure out, the main thing is you probaly need more movement variation. if every shot is just a slow push forward or a slow pan it all kind of blurs together even if each individual shot looks nice. try mixing in some faster moves or altitude changes between the smooth ones, gives the edit more energy

watched the clip. the location really is nice but i think the issue is the shots are all kind of the same length and same speed. also maybe try shooting d-log or whatever flat profile your drone has if you arent already, gives you a lot more to work with in post even if it looks terrible straight out of the drone
