this pretty much lines up with my experience too. the color banding thing in skies is real and i spent like an hour convinced it was my monitor before i checked the raw file. once you know its there y

good writeup. im still on a Mini 2 and have been going back and forth on whether to jump to the 4 Pro or just wait and see what comes next. the avoidance alone is tempting cause ive binned a prop or t
so ive had the Mini 4 Pro for about 3 months now and figured id write up some actual thoughts since most reviews i found before buying were either from people who got it for free or were just reading off the spec sheet
the obstacle avoidance is genuinely better than i expected for a mini class drone. ive had it dodge some stuff that would have definitely taken out my Mini 3. that said the APAS does get confused in dense trees and sometimes it just stops and hovers instead of finding a way through which is fine i guess, just something to know
the 4K 100fps is the thing i was most excited about and honestly it looks great but i noticed on longer clips shot in direct sunlight there can be some color banding in skies when you push the log footage in editing. not a dealbreaker but its there
battery life is about what they advertise if the wind is calm. i live in a pretty gusty area and im regularly seeing 22-25 minutes instead of the claimed 34. same story as every other drone tbh
the thing i genuinely miss from the Mini 3 is how light it felt in the bag. the 4 Pro isnt heavy but somehow the case and everything just takes up more space. anyway if you already have the Mini 3 and its working for you, i dont think the jump is totally necessary unless you really need omnidirectional avoidance or the 4K slow mo. if youre coming from something older then yeah its a solid pick
