random thought - do you tell people you fly drones or just keep it quiet

kind of a weird one but i was at a family thing over the weekend and mentioned i fly and immediately got the whole "oh so you're spying on people" thing from my uncle. happens everytime and its exhausting to explain. now i kind of just dont bring it up unless someone asks

curious if anyone else just keeps it low key in real life even though its a pretty big part of how you spend your free time

i tell people but i try to show them footage first before explaining anything technical because the second you start talking about flight controllers or whatever their eyes glaze over completely. visuals first, everything else is just noise to most people honestly. my girlfriend still has no idea what a gopro mount is and weve been together three years lmao
