so i saw the post on facebook about the group fly-in at Ridgeline Park on the 18th and im actually considering making the drive. its like 2.5 hours for me which is kinda far just to fly with strangers but also i havent been to one of these before and it sounds fun. anyone here going? is it worth it or is it gonna be one of those things where 6 people show up and stand around awkwardly for 20 minutes

went to one at that same park last spring and honestly it was great, way more people than i expected. ended up talking to this guy who builds his own 5 inch freestyle quads and he let me fly one of his which was insane. definitely go if you can, worst case you get some flights in and leave early

i mean the facebook events for these things are always hit or miss honestly. sometimes 40 people say going and 8 show up. but ridgeline has decent open space at least so even if its just a few people you can still get good air time without drama
