so this has been bugging me for a while and i finally made an account to ask. my drone just kind of... moves on its own. mostly to the left. i calibrated it i think? i did the thing where you spin it around. but it still does it. its not a huge amount but its noticeable and kind of stresses me out when im flying near anything. not sure if its a controller issue or the drone itself or what. been flying for about two months so still pretty new to all this

what drone is it, that would help narrow it down. drifting usually means either the IMU needs calibrating (different from the compass calibration where you spin it), or theres a stick calibration issue on the controller. a lot of beginers do the compass cal but skip the IMU one. in DJI go or whatever app youre using theres usually a separate IMU calibration option in the settings, its the one where you have to lay the drone flat on a surface. try that first

could also just be wind tbh. two months in i thought mine was broken and it was just a light breeze i couldnt even feel. if youre flying in sport mode or have the sensitivity turned way up it amplifies everything. but yeah the IMU thing is worth checking first, and also make sure youre not near anything metal when you calibrate the compass, that messes it up. i calibrated mine once in a parking garage and it was useless after that lmao
