so ive been flying a Mavic 2 Pro for about two years and always kind of wondered what the EVO II Pro was like since it gets way less attention than DJI stuff but you see some really nice footage from it every now and then. finally found one used in decent shape and figured why not.
first thing i noticed is the build feels really solid, like almost chunky compared to the Mavic. the folding arms are a bit different and took me a minute to get comfortable with unfolding them without feeling like im gonna snap something. the Skylink controller is actually pretty nice, way better than i expected from reading old reviews that complained about it.
image quality out of the 6k sensor is genuinely impressive especially in raw. colors feel a little different than what im used to from the Hasselblad sensor, more neutral i guess, but thats not necessarily bad. dynamic range seems comparable maybe slightly behind but honestly its close enough that id have to do a proper side by side to say for sure.
the one thing that bugs me so far is the Autel Sky app feels a little rough around the edges compared to DJI Fly. not broken, just not as polished. anyone else use a third party app with it or are you sticking with the official one? also curious if there are any accessories you guys actually found useful, specifically thinking about ND filters and whether the standard mavic ones are anywhere close to fitting lol
