Having major rolling shutter problems with my X5S when doing mapping and 3D modeling work. The electronic shutter is causing distortion in fast movements and even moderate gimbal pans.

I know the X4S and X7 have mechanical shutters up to certain speeds. Is there any firmware setting or technique to minimize this with the X5S? Currently shooting at 1/400 shutter speed but still getting blur artifacts.

Considering switching to X4S just for the mechanical shutter capability. Anyone found reliable workarounds for the X5S in survey applications?

Unfortunately the X5S only has electronic shutter throughout its range. For mapping work, you really need the X4S (same sensor as P4P) or X7 which have mechanical shutters up to 1/2000 and 1/1000 respectively.

Try increasing your shutter speed to 1/800 or higher and use tripod mode for smoother gimbal movements. Also ensure you're flying slower - rolling shutter gets worse with rapid motion changes.

New to the Inspire 2 coming from P4P and having the same issue! The P4P mechanical shutter spoiled me. Might need to get the X4S adapter to get that same camera performance on the bigger platform.
