this has been bugging me for a while now. my Nano+ does this thing where in a hover it just slowly creeps, usually kind of diagonally, even when theres barely any wind. i've done the IMU calibration and compass calibration already and it helped a little but not completely

its not like a huge drift, maybe a foot or two over thirty seconds or so, but its enough that i cant just leave it hovering to set up a shot without it wandering off. kind of defeats the purpose for what im trying to do with it

anyone dealt with this? wondering if its a GPS lock issue or something with how i have it set up. i usually fly in a pretty open area so i dont think its multipath interference but honestly im not sure what that even looks like in practice

that amount of drift is actually pretty normal for a drone that size in my experience, small lightweight quads just don't hold position as rock solid as something heavier. the Nano+ is pretty capable for what it is but physics is physics ? a bit of breeze you can barely feel at ground level can be enough to push it around up at any real altitude

that said if you haven't tried recalibrating on a completely flat hard surface away from any metal or electronics that might be worth doing again. i've had compasses that seemed fine but were still slightly off and causing that slow creep you're describing. also make sure you're getting a solid GPS lock before you let go of the sticks, like waiting for the indicator to show a good number of satellites not just the minimum

had similar with my Mini 2 actually not a Nano but probably same kind of deal. turned out one of my props had a tiny nick in it i hadnt noticed and it was just enough to throw the hover off slightly. worth checking all four props real carefully under good lighting, those small imperfections are easy to miss
