this has been bugging me for a while and im not sure if its just normal or something i should actually look into. when i put the drone in a stable hover with no stick input it very slowly drifts, usually in the same direction roughly northeast if that means anything. not a huge amount but enough that i notice it in shots where im trying to hold a static frame.

ive done the IMU calibration and the compass calibration. flying in an open field away from anything that could interfere. it might just be that there's always some wind and im being too picky about it but it seems more consistent than random gusts would explain. anyone else see this or am i overthinking it

honestly a tiny amount of drift in hover is pretty normal even on calm days, GPS positioning has some tolerance to it and the drone is constantly making small corrections. if it's drifting consistently in one direction though rather than kind of wandering around, worth checking whether the vision positioning system is working properly ? sometimes if you're flying over a surface with not much texture (like dry grass or sand) the downward sensors have less to lock onto and it relies more purely on GPS which is less precise. try hovering over something with more visual contrast and see if it behaves differently.

also make sure your RC is calibrated. ive had a situation where a very slightly off-center stick was causing a barely-there constant input that i couldn't feel but the drone definitely could.

what height are you hovering at? lower down the ground effect can do weird things, especially if there's any surface wind at all. i used to think mine had a problem and then i started hovering higher to get out of the rotor wash bouncing off the ground and it was a lot more stable. might be nothing to do with your situation but just something i noticed
