okay so this is probably user error but im posting anyway because im frustrated. updated the firmware on my air 2s yesterday through the DJI fly app, the normal way, and now the RC-N1 controller won't connect to the aircraft. like at all. the aircraft itself seems fine, powers on, motors spin up if i do it manually, but the controller just sits there with the solid red light and the app says no signal found.

already tried the obvious stuff ? restarting both, relinking through the app, checking the cables. the DJI assistant 2 on my laptop doesnt even see the controller when i plug it in which is what's really worrying me. its not a total brick i think because the screen on the controller still shows the interface, just... no connection to anything.

anyone seen this before or am i shipping it back

this happened to me with a different controller but similar situation. before you do anything drastic try holding the power button for like 9 seconds until it does a force restart, not just the normal hold to turn off. the RC-N1 has a weird state it can get into where it's technically on but the wifi/linking module gets stuck. also check if DJI assistant 2 is updated, sometimes the older version won't detect newer firmware controllers at all which is a completely separate issue from the linking problem.

if none of that works the other thing worth trying is refreshing the firmware through assistant 2 once it detects it ? even if the update technically completed it sometimes doesn't write cleanly and a second pass fixes it.

ive had the solid red light of death twice now and both times it was a cable issue weirdly enough, the little usb c cable that comes in the box is garbage. tried a different cable and assistant 2 saw it immediately. probably not your issue since yours connected fine before but worth a shot before you go through the return process which is a nightmare
