EVO Nano+ worth it or should i just get the Mini 3?

so ive been going back and forth on this for like two weeks now and im driving myself crazy. basically i want something small i can take hiking and travel with, dont really need anything crazy professional but i do want decent image quality. the EVO Nano+ keeps catching my eye because of the obstacle avoidance and the colors look really nice in the videos ive seen but then everyone online seems to just default to recommending DJI stuff and im not sure if thats just brand loyalty or if Autel is actually behind in some way

my main concern is the app situation. ive heard Autel's app has had some issues? and also just the general ecosystem ? like if something breaks or i need ND filters or whatever, is it easy to find stuff for it. would love to hear from anyone who actually owns one and not just watched a youtube comparison

I have the Nano+ and honestly it gets way less credit than it deserves. the image quality especially in decent light is really really good, colors are punchy without being overdone and the raw files have solid dynamic range. obstacle avoidance on it is basic but it works, saved me a couple times when i got target fixation flying near trees.

the app has gotten a lot better ? had some connection quirks early on but the updates over the past year smoothed most of that out. ND filters you can find on amazon no problem, few third party brands make them. the main thing i'd say is the DJI ecosystem is just bigger so theres more tutorials and community stuff, but that doesnt mean Autel is worse, just smaller. if the Nano+ specs match what you need i wouldnt hesitate

mini 3 pro if you can stretch the budget tbh, the tri-directional obstacle avoidance and the vertical shooting mode are genuinely useful not just gimmicks. but if the Nano+ is hitting your price point better then its not a bad drone at all, just a different trade off
