so ive been flying DJI stuff for years, had a Mavic 2 Pro before this and honestly wasnt sure if switching to Autel was worth the headache of learning a new ecosystem. but i found a decent deal on a refurbished EVO II Pro 6K and figured why not.
first thing i noticed is the orange color is actually way more visible in the sky than i expected, which is nice for keeping visual line of sight. the controller is chunky compared to what im used to but it grows on you. the app (Autel Sky) has improved a lot from what i remember reading about older versions, though it still feels a little clunky in some menus compared to DJI fly.
image quality is genuinely excellent. shooting in flat log profile and doing color work in post, the 6K footage is just really nice to work with. low light is where this thing kind of surprised me ? way better than i thought it would be for the price point i paid.
one thing that bugs me is battery life feels a little inconsistent? like sometimes im getting close to 40 minutes and other times it seems to drop faster. not sure if thats wind or temp or what. anyone else notice this or have tips for getting the most consistent flight times?
